Privacy policy
This website is deliberately simple: no database, no login, no contact form, and nothing stored on your device unless you have said yes to it.
Last updated August 2026
The short version.
medibiosense.com is a static website. It has no database, no login and no contact form. We use Google Analytics to see which pages people find useful — but only if you accept it in the banner. Decline, and nothing is stored on your device and no analytics cookies are set. If you email us, we hold what you send us for as long as it takes to deal with your enquiry, and nothing else.
Who we are
MediBioSense Ltd is the data controller for this website. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 09536165, with a registered office at Beehive Office 3, Bawtry Hall, South Parade, Doncaster, DN10 6JH, United Kingdom.
You can reach us by email at info@medibiosense.com, or by post at the registered office above.
What this policy covers
This policy covers the public website at medibiosense.com. It does not cover the MBS HealthStream clinical platform or our mobile applications, which process patient data under separate agreements with the healthcare organisations that deploy them. If you are a patient and want to know how your health data is handled, ask the clinical service that issued your device — they are the controller for that data, and we act as their processor.
Cookies and analytics
The first time you visit, we ask whether you are happy for us to use Google Analytics. Until you answer, and if you decline, nothing is stored on your device and no analytics cookies exist. We do not use advertising cookies at all, and there is no functional or preference tracking beyond remembering the answer you gave us.
If you accept, these are set:
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes one visitor from another | 2 years |
| _ga_EM2BYS0CEW | Google Analytics | Keeps session state for this site's analytics property | 2 years |
| mbs-consent | This website | Remembers the answer you gave, so you are not asked on every page. Stored in your browser's local storage rather than as a cookie, and never sent to us. | Until you clear site data |
We use Google Consent Mode, so the analytics tag is loaded with storage switched off by default and only switched on if you accept. Our lawful basis for the storage itself is your consent, under regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. Our lawful basis for looking at the resulting statistics is legitimate interests — understanding which parts of our own website are worth keeping.
Withdrawing your consent
Clear the site data for medibiosense.com in your browser settings. That deletes the analytics cookies and the record of your answer, and you will be asked again the next time you visit. In most browsers this is under Settings, then Privacy, then cookies and site data. You can also refuse or delete these cookies at any time without losing anything — nothing on this site needs them to work.
What we collect when you visit
We do not collect anything that identifies you. As with any website, our hosting provider processes the technical information needed to deliver a page to your browser — your IP address, the page requested and the time of the request — as part of operating the service and protecting it from abuse. We do not build profiles from this, and we do not use it for marketing.
If you have accepted analytics, Google Analytics additionally processes the pages you view, how you arrived, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and your device and browser type. Google Analytics does not log or store the IP address itself. We see this as aggregated statistics; we do not use it to identify individuals, we have not enabled advertising features or Google Signals, and we do not share it with anyone.
This site is hosted on Google Firebase Hosting. Google acts as our processor for both hosting and analytics, and may process that data outside the United Kingdom — where it does, the transfer is covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
What we collect when you contact us
If you email us we will hold your name, contact details and whatever you choose to tell us. We use it for one thing: responding to you and, where relevant, progressing the enquiry into a commercial conversation.
- We do not add you to a marketing list without asking you first.
- We do not sell or share your details with third parties.
- We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as the relationship is live, and for a reasonable period afterwards for business records, then delete it.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — responding to an enquiry you initiated — or the steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
Links to other sites
We link to external sites, including our own profiles on LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook and X. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else's site, governed by their privacy policy, not this one. We have no control over what they collect.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to have it provided in a portable format. Email info@medibiosense.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant we will say so plainly rather than hoping you re-read it.
